Anja Guhl (née Gumprich)
I am a PhD student in archaeometry in the Department of Human Evolution at the Max-Planck-Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology Leipzig, participating The Leipzig School of Human Origins (IMPRS) and enrolled on the list of doctoral candidates of the Institute of Mineralogy, Crystallography and Materials Science (IMKM), Faculty of Chemistry and Mineralogy at the University Leipzig.
My doctoral research focuses on Optical Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) dating of sediments. The project is aimed towards the application of OSL-dating to establish a chronological framework for archaeological sites as well as to fundamental research on luminescence processes and the improvement of dating techniques.
