Patrick Schönfeld
I am a CT-system technician in the Department of Human Evolution. I operate the CT-system and perform maintenance on the associated hard- and software. I am also responsible for moving the equipment to other countries where we scan different collections of hominin fossils. After scanning these collections, I reconstruct the images and transfer the data to a departmental database.
I am trained as a mechatronics engineer and during my post-secondary education to become a state-approved technician for mechanical techniques, I developed an interest in biology and bionics. In the position I currently hold, I am able to combine my interests and knowledge.
