 The Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology (MPI-EVA)
has approximately 1,231 square meters of molecular biology
laboratory space, with the state of the art in scientific
supplies and equipment. Shared equipment distributed among
lab groups ensures efficient use of and access to equipment.
We currently have laboratory groups focusing in the areas
of:

- Rates and patterns of gene expression evolution
- Rates and patterns of protein evolution
- Great ape population genetics
- Molecular anthropology
