Research Interest

I carry out my Master Thesis aimed to understanding the role that balancing selection has played in primate evolution and how this type of selection works. To accomplish this, I am performing a comparative analysis of 88 high-coverage whole genomes of 5 different closely related species to identify advantageous, shared-old polymorphisms in great apes. More generally, I am interested in human evolution and in using and developing new bioinformatics tools to manipulate and analyze population genomics’ data.

Do not hesitate to contact me for more information.
