Re-evaluation of the Witotoan/Boran family/ies

In this project we examine the relationship between the Boran languages (Bora and Muinane) and the Witotoan languages (Witoto proper, Ocaina, Nonuya) spoken in the Northwest Amazon. We evaluate the evidence for a distant genealogical relationship between these two groups, based on newly available data from the Nonuya language, and the identification of borrowing between Boran and Witotoan languages.
