defended a doctoral thesis on the "Struktura prostogo glagol'nogo prelozhenija v evenskom jazyke" (Verbal clause patterns in Even)
1990-1994
worked as a researcher at the Altaic department of the Institute of Linguistics (Russian Academy of Sciences), specializing in Tungusic languages
from 1991 on
associated senior researcher at the Institute for the study of Northern minorities (Yakutsk)
from December 94 to June 96
Alexander von Humboldt fellow researcher at the Seminar fuer Orientkunde at the University of Mainz
