I am a current doctoral student at the Max Planck Weizmann Center for Integrative Archaeology and Anthropology and the Institute of Animal Nutrition at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University Leipzig. As a Veterinarian, I am generally interested in how the body of an animal works. My research will be focused on chewing kinematics of equids and how tooth wear and digestive physiology are dependent on masticatory efficiency. This research will combine feeding experiments centered upon animal nutrition and virtual modelling to quantify and describe the masticatory process.
