Antje Hutschenreuther I am a lab assistant and biologist with a background in molecular and cellular biology and marine biotechnology. Next to the daily lab organization I am helping to improve the methods for discovering the ancient use of plants. This contains the maintenance and expansion of the database of modern plant microfossils. Furthermore I help to find out, what biotic and abiotic factors play a role in the preservation of native and gelatinized starches in soils and on stone tools. I also analyze lipid concentrations of plants for the South Africa plant foods project. Generally I am trying to support all group members to solve any upcoming questions in the lab.
