Airport Leipzig-Halle (LEJ):
Take the train from Leipzig Airport to Leipzig Hauptbahnhof (main railway station) that runs every 30 minutes. It will take you approx. 15 minutes to get to the main railway station. A taxi ride from the airport to the institute costs about 40 Euro.

By train
Coming from the station you can board tram number 16 at Willy-Brandt-Platz (opposite the main station) to the destination Lössnig. Get off at the 5th stop "Deutsche Bücherei". Turn left, cross the street (Semmelweissstrasse) and you will find yourself at Deutscher Platz. The Institute, a modern building with a glass facade, is at your right. You have to buy a ticket "Einzelfahrkarte Leipzig" before you board the tram.

By car
Coming from Autobahn (national route) A9, change to A14 at Schkeuditzer Kreuz direction Dresden. Follow A14, then take the exit Leipzig-Mitte, and follow the road B2 for approx. 20 minutes. You will pass Berliner Strasse, Georgiring, Prager Strasse. Turn right when you reach Semmelweissstraße, the sign there says "Alte Messe, Deutsche Bücherei". Cross Philipp-Rosenthal-Strasse and turn left when you reach Strasse des 18. Oktober. Entering Deutscher Platz you see the Institute, a modern building at your right handside.
