Employee description

Since August 2010 Robert Schettler has been working at the MPI-EVA as IT-Administrator focused on:

• IT organization of the department
• computer administration (especially Windows and Linux machines)
• contact person computer hardware and special equipment (field)
• database administration
• user support and admission
• audio and video processing (small tasks)
• IT documentation
• server administration (ticket system, monitoring, inventory system)
• interface to the central IT

 

Past projects:

• Reorganization of the video server (data structure)
• Migration from XP to Windows7 throughout the department (partial renewal of working places)
• Introduction of a ticket-, inventory- and monitoring system
• Complete renewal of Interact coding and video digitizing places (HD ready)
