I am an evolutionary anthropologist interested in how primates solve social challenges. My empirical work focuses on the social behavior of wild white-faced capuchin monkeys (Cebus capucinus). In past work, I have investigated what social information capuchin monkeys use to recruit allies in coalitionary conflicts and I have explored whether individuals who are more social tend to live longer. Currently, I am working on a theoretical model of innovation dynamics in age-structured populations, as well as an empirical project focusing on whether capuchin monkey reciprocate help.
