Research interests
My doctoral research examines morphological variation in the anterior dentition (upper and lower incisors and canines) of African Plio-Pleistocene hominins (Australopithecus, Paranthropus and early Homo). This work investigates patterns of variation in both dental crowns and dental roots form by combining traditional approaches, microCT imaging and 3D geometric morphometrics. The goal of this project is to provide insights into the taxonomic and evolutionary significance of the anterior dentition. I am supervised by Dr. Matthew Skinner.
