The meeting will be hosted by the Department of Evolutionary Genetics and held at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology (MPI-EVA) in Leipzig, Germany. A meeting on research into the human mutation rate is particularly relevant to the ongoing studies of Neandertals and other early humans that are primary areas of interest for the departments of Human Evolution and Evolutionary Genetics at the MPI-EVA.
