The four volumes of the Atlas of Pidgin and Creole Language Structues (APiCS) are scheduled to appear in August 2013, and on this occasion we are meeting to discuss creole and pidgin languages in a typological perspective.

The workshop will take place on August 18-19 in Leipzig, just after the biennial conference of the Association for Linguistic Typology. It will be open for anyone to attend.

At the workshop, the editors will present the books and introduce the online APiCS database. In addition we hope that quite a few APiCS contributors will be able to come and give presentations. The focus of the workshop should be on cross-linguistic comparison (universal, typological and substratal aspects).
