The Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology had a strong presence at the 2026 Leipzig Firmenlauf. Staff from all departments, including administrative and IT staff, joined forces to create the institute’s largest team yet. The annual event once again brought a lively and energetic atmosphere to Leipzig, welcoming runners, joggers, and walkers of all abilities.

With 22,028 participants from 968 companies taking part, MPI-EVA also performed impressively in the rankings. Thanks to the performances of its eight fastest runners, the institute's female team placed sixth, its mixed team ninth and its male team 21st. Congratulations to all runners!
