Brief Information:

Population Prehistory of the Andes continues a series of symposia to promote a meeting of minds between scholars from linguistics, archaeology, and now particularly genetics and biological anthropology.  Our goal is to converge their different but complementary perspectives into a more coherent understanding of the Andean past.  A particular theme is population movement, to retrace demographic dispersals, migrations and retreats.  Rather than formal conference papers, we follow an original format to foster awareness, discussion and co-operation across the divides between disciplines.
