The project engages both scientific and technical staff within
DRCongo that obtains an application-focused education supported
by both local and foreign collaborating
institutions. The
goal is to foster a new generation of academics & non-academics
in the DRC, in order to form a team that will be able to conduct
high quality research in future. |

- Computer courses enable staff to make use of common
software applications
- Seminars teach special knowledge of scientific
fieldwork
- Individual tutorials focus on the accomplishment
of autonomous scientific research
- Visiting speakers from other African and European
universities communicate relevant topics for current research
- Improvement of technical inventory, such as teaching
aids, technical equipment for the herbaria, small laboratory
instruments and literature
- Integration of scientific staff in continuing education
such as the achievement of equivalents of bachelor, masters
or PhD
- Integration of technical staff in education such
as conservation management
