Responsibilities
I am a Lab Assistant for the Light Isotope Mass Spectrometry Laboratory and the Plasma Ionization Multicollector Mass Spectrometry (PIMMS) facility in the Department of Human Evolution.
In 1998, I completed my professional training as a certified assistant for environmental techniques in Reichenbach Vogtland. From February 1999 until April 2008, I was working as a technical assistant at the Institute for Non-Classical Chemistry (Universität Leipzig) in the project group "analytic and stable isotopes". Since 2001, I have operated the Light Isotope Mass Spectrometer "Delta plus XL". Among my responsibilities at MPI are sample preparation and development of measuring methods of stable isotopes such as 13C, 18O, 15N and HD of carbonates, gases, waters, and many other media.
