Research Interest
I am interested in the study of the evolutionary history of stone tool production: where, when, and how it began to emerge and evolve. I am also interested in stone tool use-wear and residue studies to address questions related to stone tool function during the prehistoric period.
Under the supervision of Dr. Shannon McPherron and Dr. Lydia Luncz, my PhD project focuses on investigating the origin of intentional flake production in the lineage of our ancestral species through a typo-technological comparative analysis of experimental, archaeological, and non-human primate manufactured lithic assemblages.
