voucher4guests

The aim of voucher4guests project is to develop and distribute a voucher solution (Captive Portal) for the internal guest networks of Max Planck Institutes.

The project were developed regarding to the following aspects:

full compliant to the requirements of guest networks within the Max Planck Society
covers the complete organizational work flow
reducing the organizational demand to a minimum
multi vendor-capability (network hardware)
completely based on open source

The system is running successfully on Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology since August 2010.

Status of project

Latest stable release: 2.0 (Januar 2017)

Latest patch: 0.4b (October 10th. 2012) for users of version 0.4 and 0.4a

Patch 0.4b fixes a minor bug which is related to the forwarding website for mobile devices (smartphones, tablets etc.)
Patch 0.4a fixes a minor bug in the lifecycle managment of created vouchers.
