„Forschungsreise“ now online - the Max-Planck-Institute in Leipzig is part of a new platform for online child studies

Leipzig, 10 November 2020

Parents and their children can now take part in studies while sitting comfortably at home with a laptop or tablet in front of them. The new website www.kinderschaffenwissen.de is a unique platform for online studies covering developmental, psychological research questions from many scientific institutions in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.  “This is made possible thanks to the financial support of the Max Planck Society“ says Daniel Haun, Director of the Department of Comparative Cultural Psychology.  On-site studies are restricted due to the pandemic and regulations of spatial distancing. However, parents can now additionally register on www.kinderschaffenwissen.de and discover various studies that are suitable for people of many ages, including children, teenager, and sometimes also adults. The studies take 10 to 30 minutes and participants just need a computer with a microphone and camera.
